This install applies to "Shinobi Crack Intro" © 1989 Paranoimia.
This install requires WHDLoad be in the path.
The installed mag requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.1 MB OtherMem for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
- Full load from HD
- Write to DMACONR fixed
- Blitter wait added
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Who doesn't remember this intro? Quite a classic and a prime example
that a memorable intro doesn't need advanced effects.
I find it quite interesting how an intro with such simple effects can
still be so enjoyable. The tune by Suntronic is an outright classic too!
Code is quite OK, not particularly fast though. The rotations are
calculated using matrices which is not too common for a 1989 intro.
Only major bug was a write to DMACONR ($dff002) due to a mistake made
by the coder. The code was supposed to disable the "blitter nasty" mode
after waiting for the blitter but it never worked as intended of course.
To exit the intro you can either press the quitkey or left mouse button.
Enjoy the intro from HD.
