A patch for this demo was requested back in 2013 already and I started
to work on it in November 2013 but got sidetracked as usual. Yesterday
I remembered the demo and started to work on a the patch from scratch
and fixed most of the parts which took a long time as there are many of
them and they all needed to be tested. Except for the glenz part there
weren't any major problems spotted though. The glenz part wasn't shown at
all and when patching it separately I noticed trashed bitplane pointers
in the copperlist, these were caused by the fade routine which wrote one
entry too much in the copperlist hence trashing the bitplane pointers,
This took me quite a while to figure out, once that problem was solved
I added a delay in the loader which made the part visible in the demo.
Speaking of (in)visible parts, there is a part which is not shown at all
in the demo (an animation of a wireframe object), I'm not sure if this
is intended or a bug.
I guess those are the most interesting things about the demo, it features
good code and some neat effects so it definitely deserved to be patched.
The hidden part is supported, you can enable it with CUSTOM1 but try to
find it yourself, it isn't that hard, a certain key during boot might
help. :)
Enjoy the demo from HD.
