Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad and RawDIC to be in the path.
These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed game requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.8 MB for preload)
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD (real files!)
- Lots of self-modifying code fixed
- Decrunchers relocated to fast memory
- DMA wait in replayer fixed (x4)
- Bplcon0 color bit fixes (x25)
- Interrupts fixed for 68040/60
- Source code included as usual
- 3 NewIcons (all created by me)
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Another patch that was requested by Shoonay at the beginning of
this year. I had most of it finished in March already but couldn't
be bothered to fix the self-modifying code. Now, some months later,
I spent 2 more days on the patch to fix the self-modifying code and
finished the patch. The SMC took me quite some time, most of the time
was spent fixing the vector bob part (about 4 hours just to fix the stupid
amount of SMC!).
What's worse, most of the SMC was completely unnecessary like
that in the line drawer used in the end part for example. The way
I fixed it makes the code run even faster than with SMC, no further
comments needed I guess.
The loader of this demo was quite funny, it loaded the first 80
track on side 0 and then switched disk sides and loaded the next
80 tracks backwards(!). Which is the reason why I ripped the demo
to files as it would've been much harder to patch the loader
otherwise as the WHDLoad API doesn't support backwards loading for
obvious reasons.
Not much more to say, have a nice summer everyone and enjoy
the demo from HD how.
