This install applies to "Music Collection" © 1989 Exocet.
This install requires WHDLoad and DIC to be in the path.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.9 MB OtherMem for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
- Full load from HD
- DMA wait in replayer fixed
- Byte write to volume register fixed
- ColdCapture patching disabled
- Access fault fixed (wrong blitter wait)
- Keyboard control added (cursor up/down to select, return to load tune)
- Decruncher (ByteKiller) relocated to fast memory
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is F10)
This music disk originally only worked on Kickstart 1.2 machines as the
system VBI was patched in the bootblock using ROM jumps that were only
valid for Kick 1.2. This has been fixed in this patch of course.
There also was a wrong blitter wait due to a typo made by the coder
($dff00 instead of $dff002) but other than that there were no major bugs.
I have added keyboard control so you don't have to use a joystick to choose
the tunes. To select a song use cursor up/down, return to load. The joystick
control still works too so you can decide yourself which way you prefer.
The tunes are pretty nice for 1989, enjoy the music disk from HD.
