This install applies to "Anarchy Party Slideshow" © 1992 Quartz.
This install requires WHDLoad to be in the path.
These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.9 MB for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
- Full load from HD
- OS stuff patched/emulated (file loading, CIA interrupt)
- Byte write to COPJMP1 fixed
- Blitter wait added
- Source code included
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Another patch of an old Quartz production is now finished, didn't take
long to do as the code is more or less fine. The coder still had trouble
using words and long words correctly though, the check in the main routine
if the first/last picture has been loaded is buggy (tst.l used while the
index register is a word hence the check never worked properly) and
apparently the coder couldn't figure out the problem so he simply checked
the result of the Open() call to see if the slideshow should wrap, really
lame but kinda funny.
The CIA interrupt used for the replayer was done using OS routines so I
had to completely recode it but that wasn't much of a problem. The
"partyslide" file can be packed with any of the crunchers supported
by WHDLOad (FImp, ProPack etc.).
Enjoy the slideshow from HD.
