This install applies to "Audio Rhythm 2" © 1993 Tronix.
Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad to be in the path.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem and 0.5 MB OtherMem
(+1.0 MB OtherMem for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD
- All OS stuff patched (AllocMem, Open, Read)
- Self-modifying code fixed
- DMA wait in replayer fixed (x4)
- Bplcon0 color bit fixes (x3)
- Keyboard interrupt added
- Interrupt fixed
- Timing fixed
- Interrupt and DMA settings fixed
- Decruncher (CrunchMania) relocated to fast memory
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
The code in this music disk isn't exactly great, most stupid bugs:
- trying to save the system copperlist without having opened
graphics.library before
- enabling only the copper interrupt but never triggering it
and there are a lot more silly things like that. It only worked from
disk by coincidence because the OS wasn't disabled. The code actually
looks like it is someones first try to code a demo.
The presentation also leaves a lot to be desired but the tunes are
really good!
I have added a delay for the title screen as it was shown during loading
from disk and disappears too fast when loading from HD. To exit the title
screen you can press left mouse button or wait 3 seconds.
Enjoy the music disk from HD.
