This one has been on my "should be done one day" list for quite some time
already and once Frequent requested a patch for this very demo yesterday I
decided to finally do it. It's an old favorite of mine, short but really nice
demo with good effects and awesome tune. Paso really knew how to make entertaining
stuff back then. He was, however, not really a good coder as all of his intros
and demos have a lot of minor and also major bugs! This demo is no exception,
there were a lot of blitter routines to fix as the blitting routines accessed
non-existing/wrong memory locations due to bugs in the bounding box calculation
(vector parts) or clipping routines (text writer). Some of the blitter waits
were buggy as well, a4 was used as base register when it should have been a5.
There also was a wrong Bplcon2 setting in one of the parts which made the demo
only display a black screen on anything else than plain 68000/A500 machines.
Still, despite all the problems, this is a really nice demo and I still enjoy
it so many years later! And it really deserved the WHDLoad treatment as it can
now be enjoyed on all Amigas, at least I hope so.
You can pack the demo with any crunchers supported by WHDLoad (FImp, ProPack etc.)
if you want to save some HD space.
Enjoy quite a classic demo from HD.
