This install applies to "Embryo" © 1994 Black Legend.
This install requires WHDLoad to be in the path.
These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed game requires 0.5 MB ChipMem and 0.5 MB OtherMem.
It can be quit by pressing PrtSc (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
The game requires an installed A500 Kickstart 1.3 image.
The kickstart image must be located in the directory "Devs:Kickstarts" and
must be named "kick34005.A500". The image can be extracted from a A500 with
tools like 'GrabKick' or similar which can be found on aminet.
If the image is of wrong version or altered in any way WHDLoad will quit with
an appropriate message.
Additionally the file "kick34005.A500.RTB" must be installed in the same
directory as the kickstart image. It can be found in the archive
"util/boot/skick346.lha" on aminet.

Here it finally is, the WHDLoad patch for Embryo. Was requested on EAB
by KillerGorilla back in 2007 and since none of the other WHDLoad patchers
had time/interest I started to work on this very patch. Most of it was
done within 3 days, now if you wonder why it took more than 2 years to
finish this patch, well... There are people in this world who find it
necessary to boast about their skills instead of providing useful feedback.
I won't lose too many words about this, most of you will probably know
who I am referring to anyway. Result was that I completely stopped
the work on the patch and left EAB for a while because I don't need
something like that. This is all this person has achieved, due to
his behaviour I just didn't have any motivation to work on the patch
anymore so you (the people that requested this patch) had to wait for
more than 2 years. I wonder if it was worth it...
Anyway, enough about that.
There were a few problems with this game, the intro had a lot
of problems on higher CPU's, it's even mentioned in the readme
that comes with the game. Fixing these problems wasn't easy but
I hope I found a good enough solution, it works on my 68060 without
any problems now. If you should experience crashes then try the
'NoCache' tooltype, this shouldn't be necessary though I hope.
The protection screen has been completely removed so you won't ever
I have added a few trainers, these can be activated with CUSTOMx
tooltypes, available trainers are:
CUSTOM1=1: unlimited lives
CUSTOM2=1: unlimited ammo
CUSTOM3=1: unlimited energy/no damage
CUSTOM4=x: start at level x (21: end sequence)
CUSTOM5=1: In-Game keys, these are:
w: refill ammo
n: skip level
Have fun with this game.

that also fails, please inform the author via the Bug-Report-Form which
