This patch applies to "Think Twice" © 1991 Magic Soft.
Supports the original release (SPS #1695).
REQUIREMENTS
- Original disk or compatible disk image
(Cracks have not been tested and are not supported)
- Slave requires WHDLoad 19+
- RawDIC 5 for the imager
- Game requires 512k chip memory
(+ approx 393k other memory for preload option)
FEATURES
- Game loads fully from HD
- Uses real files, which can be compressed with Propack/CrunchMania/FImp/XPK
- Quit game at any time (default key F10), including on 68000 machines
- Highscores loaded and saved to disk
- OS calls removed
- Keyboard handler replaced
- Byte write to audXvol in music player fixed
- Blitter waits fixed for fast machines
- Self-mofifying code removed
- CPU-dependent (empty DBF) loops fixed
- Stack moved to fast memory if available
- Game solution randomiser fixed (had SMC + other bugs)
- Can set CUSTOM1=1 to still allow empty holes (i.e. missing colours)

Somehow the smallest games still seem to provide some of the weirdest bugs
to fix. A simple enough "Master Mind" board game clone but it has a random
number generator that just plain crashes on caching CPUs due to some self-
modifying code and questionable randomising. I have replaced it with a much
simpler approach that, to be honest, seems to provide better variety in
chosen solutions than I ever saw the original code generate.
I don't know if the developer intended it, but the game sometimes leaves one
or more holes empty in the solution. I've disabled this by default, but you
can enable it in the options if you really want a harder game!
The keyboard routine for the highscores is also quite strange and prone to
missing keys, so I have fixed that, along with a few other minor bugs.
