This install applies to "Stolen Data #8" 1992 Anarchy.
Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad to be in the path.
It can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed diskmag requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+1.2 MB OtherMem for preload)
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD
- All OS stuff patched (interrupts, file loading etc.)
- Interrupts fixed
- Write to Beamcon0 disabled
- Read from VPOSW fixed
- DMA wait in replayer fixed (x4)
- Power-LED access removed
- Bplcon0 color bit fixes (x2)
- Crash when leaving charts fixed
- ButtonWait support for title picture
- Keyboard routine fixed
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Another Stolen Data issue is now patched. For the 8th issue the
code was completely rewritten (by Kreator) and the mag engine is
now much better and easier to use.
The charts part was coded by Hannibal this time and looks quite
nice too.
Patching took a little longer than expected as there were a few
OS routines to patch and some minor problems to fix, specially
the bug in the title picture part which would just "freeze"
the machine kept me busy for a while, wrong DMA/INTENA settings
had to be corrected and a fake VBI had to be installed to make
this part work.
Speaking of the title picture, I have added ButtonWait support
for it, if enabled the nice picture by Zoom will be shown until
either mouse button has been pressed.
Enjoy another nice Stolen Data isssue from HD.
