Summary0006398: I/O error while using options SavePath=RAM: NoWriteCache and WHDload v18.7+
DescriptionWHDLoad versions 18.7 and above give problems on the game Ambermoon while using SavePath=RAM: NoWriteCache options.

Tested with slave versions v2.0 and v2.3 with same results, so I am placing this as a WHDload v18.7 v18.8 v18.9 v19.0.6626 issue.
Steps To ReproduceSave to RAM: while using both options: SavePath=RAM: NoWriteCache

Click left mouse button to skip intro screens, select "START NEW QUEST", click "OK" on the character creation screen and "YES".

This will result in I/O Error from the game itself (included screenshot)
Additional InformationWorks with combined options: SavePath=DH1: NoWriteCache
I save to RAM: because I use save states in FS-UAE and this is the way to make them portable/reliable by including any saved game data.

I can't reproduce your problem.
Which Ambermoon version do you use? Maybe you can email or upload it to me?
Between 18.6 and 18.7 were a lot of changes.
Can you check which build breaks?

The one I have was downloaded from whdownload which includes slave v2.0 and a patch too.. I replaced the slave to 2.3 but problem is on both.. also tried with WinUAE v3.30 (old version) and FS-UAE 3.2.11

Confirmed it works with WHDload 19.0.6739
Will be updating all my configurations next weekend with this version and see how it works with other games too.
