Can you create an extended ADF image using readadf (winuae tool run from a real amiga) ? or wwarp. But extended adf is probably better for protection. |

I have made a CT RAW image using my Kryoflux board. Does this help? |
JOTD (developer) 2020-05-29 22:56 |
if winuae can read them, yes! |
softwarefailure (reporter) 2020-05-29 23:07 |
Yes, WinUAE boots the game just fine and I can play it. Not sure if all tracks are still good, though, because of the age of the disk. Where should the image be uploaded? Mantis says there's a 150kb limit here... |

Have you installed CAPSImg.dll? I have installed CAPSImg.dll from here: http://www.softpres.org/_media/files:spsdeclib_5.1_windows.zip?id=download&cache=cache I'm using 64-bit versions of WinUAE and CAPSImg.dll. I think a missing or outdated CAPSImg.dll is the problem that causes your WinUAE not to recognize this image... |
softwarefailure (reporter) 2020-06-14 11:39 |
But WinUAE seems to use it. What does your log say? Mine says this: DLOPEN: Loaded plugin CAPSImg.dll CAPS: library version 5.1 (flags=00007FFF) caps: type:1 imagetype:3 date:0.0.0 0:0:0 rel:0 rev:0 Disk decode: weird sector number 70 (aa98467d, 119) Disk decode: weird sector number 68 (ab9c4480, 433) Disk decode: weird sector number 22 (abcc167c, 747) Disk decode: weird sector number 88 (aac858a0, 1061) Disk decode: weird sector number 92 (ab885c4c, 1375) Disk decode: weird sector number 90 (ab9c5a64, 1689) Disk decode: weird sector number 16 (ae9c10c8, 2003) Disk decode: weird sector number 66 (aed84204, 2317) Disk decode: weird sector number 20 (afc814f8, 2631) Disk decode: weird sector number 72 (ae8c4800, 2945) Disk decode: weird sector number 30 (ae9c1e7c, 3259) Disk decode: weird sector number 88 (af9858f4, 3573) Disk decode: weird sector number 14 (afd80e08, 3887) Disk decode: weird sector number 52 (aacc34b0, 4201) Disk decode: weird sector number 52 (ab8c341c, 4515) Disk decode: weird sector number 50 (ab883280, 4829) Disk decode: weird sector number 104 (aa9868ad, 5143) Disk decode: weird sector number 59 (aadc3b10, 5457) Disk decode: weird sector number 44 (abcc2cad, 5771) Disk decode: weird sector number 80 (aa885044, 6130) Disk decode: weird sector number 70 (aa98467d, 6453) Disk decode: weird sector number 68 (ab9c4480, 6767) Disk decode: weird sector number 22 (abcc167c, 7081) Disk decode: weird sector number 88 (aac858a0, 7395) Disk decode: weird sector number 92 (ab885c4c, 7709) Disk decode: weird sector number 90 (ab9c5a64, 8023) Disk decode: weird sector number 16 (ae9c10c8, 8337) Disk decode: weird sector number 66 (aed84204, 8651) Disk decode: weird sector number 20 (afc814f8, 8965) Disk decode: weird sector number 72 (ae8c4800, 9279) Disk decode: weird sector number 30 (ae9c1e7c, 9593) Disk decode: weird sector number 88 (af9858f4, 9907) Disk decode: weird sector number 14 (afd80e08, 10221) Disk decode: weird sector number 52 (aacc34b0, 10535) Disk decode: weird sector number 52 (ab8c341c, 10849) Disk decode: weird sector number 50 (ab883280, 11163) Disk decode: weird sector number 104 (aa9868ad, 11477) Disk decode: weird sector number 59 (aadc3b10, 11791) Disk decode: weird sector number 44 (abcc2cad, 12105) Stored port 0/2 d=0: added 200 0 Windows mouse WINMOUSE1 Stored port 1/2 d=0: added 1 0 Stored port 0/2 d=0: added 200 0 Windows mouse WINMOUSE1 Stored port 1/2 d=0: added 1 0 *: E:\Emulatoren\WinUAE\rom\KICK34005.rom:262144 = KS ROM v1.3 (A500,A1000,A2000) rev 34.5 (256k) [315093-02] CRC32=C4F0F55F SHA1=891E9A547772FE0C6C19B610BAF8BC4EA7FCB785 KS ver = 34 (0x22) Stored port 0/2 d=0: added 200 0 Windows mouse WINMOUSE1 Port0: COMBO 'Windows mouse' + 'WINMOUSE1' matched Stored port 1/2 d=0: added 1 0 Stored port 1/2 d=0: added 1 0 Port1: ID 'kbd2' matched Port2: NONE Port3: NONE Log (enabled): 'E:\Emulatoren\WinUAE\winuaelog.txt' |

ah okay, i had an old version in the path. Removed, it boots. But it locks up at the menu, though. Cycle exact makes it work!! wow. okay :) |
softwarefailure (reporter) 2020-06-14 14:45 |
Yeah, it says version 4.2 but it should be 5.1. I guess you have another version of CAPSImg.dll installed somewhere on your system. I think Windows first scans certain system directories before opening a DLL from the program directory. So there's probably another copy of CAPSImg.dll in a system directory and that version is given priority. MD5 of my version of CAPSImg.dll 5.1.0.1 is 79b0078d27e5bc1de490289c45792ffe |
softwarefailure (reporter) 2020-06-14 14:47 |
Game works here. When the menu appears I press F1 and the game starts... |
JOTD (developer) 2020-06-14 14:48 |
yeah it works with "cycle exact", thanks! wow that's solving a lot of future potential problems with ipf |
JOTD (developer) 2020-06-14 15:00 |
you may want to submit your image to the SPS team because it doesn't seem to be dumped. |
softwarefailure (reporter) 2020-06-14 15:12 |
Yeah, I'll do that. Really strange that this hasn't been dumped yet because it's not exactly an exotic title. They only have the version with DOS tracks but this is what they often used for re-releases while the original release was MFM. |
JOTD (developer) 2020-12-30 12:18 Last edited: 2020-12-30 12:20 |
making progress on that. boot uses one mfm format and main game uses other (blitter decoded) The main code seems identical to the supported ADF version (except for floppy load of course). Code offsets are the same. Means that there were absolutely NO CHANGES in the re-release (just patches for floppy load) |
JOTD (developer) 2021-01-03 16:28 |
Stingray had a look and it appears that the disk image is corrupt. Some sectors are bad => needs a proper dump. |
softwarefailure (reporter) 2021-01-06 22:40 |
I can try to clean the disk and dump it again but is there a tool to check for corrupt sectors? The Kryoflux GUI doesn't report any bad sectors because the disk uses a custom format... |
JOTD (developer) 2021-01-07 23:01 |
yeah, here's Stingray imager with full track rip. You can run that with rawdic (whdload package) |
