This install applies to "Silent Service Crack Intro" © 1987 High Quality Crackings.
Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad to be in the path.
It can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed intro requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.1 MB OtherMem for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD
- Copperlist termination fixed
- Illegal copperlist entries fixed (x478)
- Interrupt fixed
- DMA and interrupt settings fixed
- Byte write to volume register fixed
- Decruncher (PowerPacker) relocated to fast memory
- OS stuff disabled/patched
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Here's a total classic! Back in 1987 when everyone else used short sample
loops HQC already had their own synth tune replayer. The code in this
intro is also quite good considered that HQC didn't have any hardware reference
manuals back then, except for some copperlist problems, the usual
interrupt bugs and a byte write to the volume register nothing had to be
fixed. They also protected the intro from decrunching but that wasn't much
of a problem. :) The intro has been crunched with what must be one of the
first PowerPacker versions, at least the decruncher code definitely looks
like PowerPacker.
Enjoy this classic intro, those were the days! HQC sure ruled, German
pioneers of the early Amiga days! :)
