This install applies to "Cyber Sounds" 1991 Bastards.
Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad and DIC to be in the path.
These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.9 MB OtherMem for preload)
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD
- All OS stuff patched (trackdisk stuff)
- Interrupts fixed
- CPU dependent delays fixed
- ColdCapture patching disabled
- DMA wait in replayer fixed (x2)
- Byte write to volume register in replayer fixed
- Decruncher (ByteKiller) relocated to fast memory and error check added
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Nice enough music disk here, good graphics and OK tunes. It
features a nice rendition of And One's "Metalhammer" but I
better don't speak my mind about And One and especially Steve
Naghavi! :D Mr. Naghavi actually went to the same school as some
friends of mine and to say he wasn't liked much would be quite
an understatement! Anyway, enough of this.
Patching the demo didn't take long, the only major bug was the
CPU dependent delay so on fast machines the pictures wouldn't
fade up properly. This has been fixed of course.
All tunes have been crunched with ByteKiller, I have relocated the
decruncher and added an error check, if decrunching fails WHDLoad
will quit with an appropriate error message.
Enjoy the demo from HD.
