This install applies to "Music Disk" © 1989 Ipec Elite.
Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad to be in the path.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.8 MB OtherMem for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD
- OS stuff patched
- DMA wait in replayer fixed
- Byte write to volume register fixed
- Self-modifying code fixed
- Interrupt fixed
- Decruncher (ByteKiller) relocated to fast memory and error check added
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Old but still nice music disk here which I patched yesterday evening
already. Quite good code for its day and interesting effects (considered
it was released in 1989) make this one quite an enjoyable music disk.
Main part is crunched with ByteKiller, I have relocated the decruncher
to fast memory and added an error check, if decrunching fails WHDLoad
will quit with an appropriate error message.
Speaking of the crunched main part, the jump address was completely wrong,
looks like the coder confused 8 with B, used jump address was $4a8e0 but
there was no code at that address, correct address is $4abe0. It only
worked by coincidence as memory was cleared so the resulting opcode
was or.b #0,d0 which is valid but doesn't really make sense of course.
That about wraps it up, enjoy yet another music disk from HD.
