This install applies to "Music Madness 2" © 1990 Ipec Elite.
Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad and DIC to be in the path.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.9 MB OtherMem for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD
- Blitter waits added (x9, 68010+ only)
- Blitter waits can be forced on 68000 with CUSTOM1
- Keyboard control added (cursor up/down to select tune, return to load)
- DMA wait in replayer fixed (x2)
- Byte write to volume register fixed
- Decrunchers (ByteKiller clone, TetraPack 2.2) relocated to fast memory
- ButtonWait support for title screen
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Here's the patch for Music Madness 2, another great and classic
music disk. Good code by Sabbath as usual, nice graphics and great
tunes which are still enjoyable so many years later.
A few blitter waits had to be added, these will only be applied on
68010+ machines, to force the blitter waits on 68000 use CUSTOM1=1.
The menu originally could be controlled with a joystick in port 2 only,
I have added keyboard control as that's much more convenient in my
opinion. Use cursor up/down to choose tune and press return to load
the selected song. The joystick control still works too of course.
If the title screen disappears too fast you can use the ButtonWait
option, the screen will then be displayed until the left mouse button
has been pressed.
That about wraps it up, enjoy this music disk from HD.
