This install applies to "Inspiration is Gone" © 1991 Kefrens.
Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad to be in the path.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed intro requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.2 MB OtherMem for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD
- Self-modifying code fixed
- Access fault fixed
- Fake fast accesses disabled
- Graphics problems in last part fixed (see below)
- Interrupts fixed
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Here's another requested patch. This time for an old demo by Kefrens
which was coded by Vention (greetings!) and features a pretty nice vector
routine which even uses blitter interrupts, not too common for a 1991
demo! These very blitter interrupts kept me busy for quite a while though
as in the last part the graphics were completely trashed after a little
while. This was caused by the scroller which ran in the vertical blank
interrupt which caused these problems. I have moved the scroller code
outside the VBI and everything works fine now!
Other than that there was an access fault caused by using add.l but not
properly initialising the used register before and for some reason Vention
decided to copy the low memory area used by the demo to the fake fast
location, needless to say that this had to be disabled. But apart from that the
code is quite clean for such an old demo!
You can pack the demo with any crunchers supported by WHDLoad (FImp, ProPack etc.)
if you want to save some HD space.
Enjoy the demo from HD.
