This install applies to "Groovy" © 1993 Lemon.
Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad and DIC to be in the path.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem and 0.5 MB OtherMem
(+0.9 MB OtherMem for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD
- Wrong Bltcon0 values fixed (x7)
- Byte write to $dff043 fixed (x6)
- Blitter waits added (x100, 68010+ only)
- Decruncher (ProPack) relocated to fast memory
- Interrupts fixed
- Bplcon0 color bit fixes (x11)
- CPU dependent delay fixed
- NewIcon and RomIcon (created by JHZ)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Another old patch redone, in v1.0 none (read: 0) of the bugs were fixed,
except for patching the loader and relocating the decruncher nothing
was done. The memory routines weren't patched properly either so 1 MB
chip memory was needed. Quite a quality patch by the usual suspect again...
Anyway, I have completely redone it now and fixed all the problems. The
code is quite good and clean but there still were a lot of problems to
fix. All line drawers were buggy (byte writes to BltCon1+1 ($dff043),
wrong octant tables), a lot of blitter waits had to be added in the
copper chunky parts (only installed on 68010+ machines), interrupts
needed fixing and a lot of Bplcon0 color bit fixes were needed as well.
The demo is quite nice so it deserves a proper patch!
I have added a 3 seconds delay for the title picture, since it's displayed
while loading it will disappear very fast when loading the data from HD
for obvious reason. To skip directly to the demo you can press either mouse
button.
Enjoy the demo from HD.
