This install applies to "Sound Quest 2" © 1988 Quest.
This install requires WHDLoad and RawDIC to be in the path.
These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.8 MB for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
- Full load from HD (real files!)
- DMA and interrupt settings fixed
- Interrupt acknowledge fixed for 68040/60
- Copperlist termination fixed
- Blitter wait added
- DMA wait in replayer fixed
- Random generator recoded (relied on $dff006)
- All OS stuff recoded (menu was written using graphics.library functions)
- Bplcon0 color bit fixes (x2)
- Keyboard routine replaced with level 2 interrupt
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
This was made quicky after I finished the patch for the first
Sound Quest music disk. Code has been slightly changed but is more or
less similiar to Sound Quest 1 so most of the work was already done.
I quite like the simple yet nice looking menu and the tunes are not
that bad either. Can't believe this was released 25 years ago,
time sure does fly! :)
Enjoy the demo from HD.

Revision 2014! :)
version 1.00 (05.09.2013) done by StingRay:
