This install applies to "Music Disk 6" © 1992 Ram Jam.
Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad and RawDIC to be in the path.
These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.7 MB for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD (real files!)
- All decrunchers (Mega Cruncher 1.2) relocated to fast memory
- DMA wait in replayer fixed (x8)
- Bug in vector balls routine fixed (uninitialised d3 register)
- Interrupts fixed
- Intro can be skipped with CUSTOM1
- ButtonWait support for loader picture
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
This is one of the patches that were almost working after about half
an hour of work. Emphasis on almost. I quickly coded the RawDIC imager,
patched the intro and main part and then spent about an hour to find
out why the vector balls in the main part sometimes weren't displayed.
No fun at all but in the end I found and fixed the problem, register
d3 was used in the vector balls drawing routine but it wasn't initalised
before which meant the add.l d3,d2 instruction to calculate the destination
address for the screen didn't work correctly for obvious reasons.
In the intro part d3 was used so as long as the intro wasn't skipped
quickly the main part would work properly. Great events often come
from small causes. Except for this bug the code is quite OK.
I have added an option to skip the (quite nice) intro, you can enable
it with CUSTOM1=1. ButtonWait is also supported for the loader picture,
if enabled the picture will be displayed until right mouse button is
pressed.
The demo can be downloaded here:

Enjoy the demo from HD.
