This install applies to "Blue House 2" © 1991 Rebels.
Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad to be in the path.
It can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.3 MB for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD
- Access faults (neg.w/not.w $dff088) fixed (x6)
- Blitter waits added (x10)
- Self-modifying code fixed
- Bplcon0 color bit fixes (x15)
- Decruncher (Blue House Cruncher) relocated to fast memory
- Interrupts fixed
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Started this patch back in October last year and had it almost finished
the same day I started it. Today, after I fixed the patch for
"Waterproof" (also by Rebels) I remembered this patch, spent a few
hours in front of the old'n'dusty A4000 and fixed the last remaining
problems.
Alta's code is, as usual, quite good, except for some access faults
that happened because of a read/write/modify cycle caused by using
neg.w/not.w instructions to start the copperlists, a bit of SMC and
some missing blitter waits no major problems had to be fixed.
Since the added blitter wait patches are not speed critical they will
also be applied on 68000 machines.
Enjoy this excellent one-file demo which was released at The Party '91
from HD! It features some really nice effects (as expected from Alta),
a great tune by Tip and Mantronix and nice graphics by Havok.
A patch for the predecessor is in work too but it will take a
while until that one is finished.
