This install applies to "Cricket Captain" © 1989 D & H Games.
This install requires WHDLoad to be in the path.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed game requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.8 MB for preload)
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
- Full load from HD
- Protection removed (dongle check)
- OS stuff emulated (file handling, keyboard interrupt)
- Access fault fixed
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included (also on Github, link below)
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
This patch was requested a few days ago on EAB. Not hard to do as the
code is quite good. The dongle protection checks were not hard to spot
and remove either. All file handling routines had to be rewritten as they
used dos.library, same for the keyboard interrupt which was installed
using AddIntServer. Those were the interesting bits about this patch.
The latest version of the source for this patch can be found on
my Github: https://github.com/MK1Roxxor/WHDLoad_Patches/blob/master/Games/CricketCaptain_WHD.s
Enjoy the game from HD.
version 1.00 (22.02.2023) done by StingRay:
