---|
Description | GameVersion: Amiga Format Coverdisk #18 Version, english,pal,1 disk
SlaveVersion: InterphaseAF.slave - 21.11.1999 13:19:38 - 328 bytes
Game installs fine with Amiga Format version installer.
After about a minute or two playing in-game on first level, the game crashes and large portions of the graphics turns red.
I am unable to try the original version as I don't have it.
I have tried this on a real Amiga 1200, real Amiga 600 and also in WinUAE, all with same results. |

Notes |
|
|
I have noticed a new issue with the original release of the game in addition to the one I mentioned above concerning the Amiga Format Coverdisk release.
I managed to grab a copy of the original release of Interphase and when using the installer to install it I get a message: "Diskimaging not successful! The patcher couldn't create all needed files!" Tried several times but cannot get it to work. It seems the installer could be way out of date now.
I'm hoping someone can have a look at it as I'm quite desperate to play it on the hard drive. Unfortunately I can't play it from the floppy on my accelerated A600 and A1200 computers because of a timing issue that causes loading from game save floppy's not to work. This is mentioned here: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=83654
Sorry for the long winded report. Thanks in advance for looking at it.
Kind regards. |

Hi there,
It's been a few years since I originally posted this bug report and I was wondering if someone could please update the slave for both the retail version and the Amiga Format coverdisk version, since the last slave was 1999.
Please ignore my previous comments as some of things I mentioned were not entirely accurate and were user error.
Nevertheless, the Amiga Format version has an issue where it will crash after a few minutes and some of the graphics will go red.
I also have an issue with the retail version where it will throw the following error when trying to run it:
Exception "CHK,CHK2 Instruction" ($2018) at $CCCCD1C occured.
I have attached a log showing the error.
Syetem: Amiga 600 with Vampire 600 (GOLD 2.11), Amiga OS 3.1.4.1, KS 3.1.4 |
|
|
|
A note that 3.0 roms with a 3.1 Workbench may cause issues. IIRC there are many libs and functions in 3.1 that 3.0 doesn't support. |

Sorry Snoopy. The problems I outlined above don't have anything to do with that. I still have issues when running 3.1 KS and 3.1.4 KS with their respective OS's.
I was hoping to see if this could be updated to work with the Vampire as noted in my second post as when trying to run it I get the following error:
Exception "CHK,CHK2 Instruction" ($2018) at $CCCCD1C occured. |

I like to check these problems. Where can I get the Amiga Format Coverdisk release? |

So an update to the Vampire core has been released (GOLD 2.15) which fixes compatibility with this game, so the boxed retail version now works. Nevertheless the slave is very old and the Amiga Format version still crashes on ALL Amiga hardware. |
