Summary | 0004478: Random shots while running |
---|
Description | At first, many thanks for this update as Chaos Engine is one of my favorite game on Amiga and a major one I think.
But there is a little bug in this salve : After shooting several ennemies (and used a lot fire 1, I suppose), then your character shot randomly one or twice time whhen you take a new direction. It's really disturbing as the main character stop while shooting. |
---|
Steps To Reproduce | Just launch the game, kill, kill, kill, then try to run on every direction. Sometimes you will see the character shoot one or two time |
---|
Additional Information | I tried with the previous slave, no problem. |

okay, which version? ECS, AGA or CD32? (I know that the information is set above, but not everyone sets it properly)

For a two levels I tested AGA version and everything seems to be fine. I used QuickShot QS-130F. |

the joypad read is maybe too frequent. It can create bugs like this. I didn't reproduce it on winuae, but I'm going to change some code. |

I made some tests. On WinUAE, no problem using keyboard layouts (only 2 buttons emulated). On my CDTV, I made tests playing with the original IR remote (and that's really difficult, be sure :-D) and other 1 or 2 button controllers, no problem.
But as I play using an official CD32 controller, the problem appears :-/ |

yes, because the controller is detected as such, and special button reading code is performed in that case. I promise I'm going to fix this!
Note that you can use "CD32 joypad" setting for keyboard in winuae too.

Whaooo, I'm using WinUAE since 15 years and I never opened this rolling menu, you can also emulate CDTV remote, analog joystick and even lightguns! I feel so stupid ^^ |

changed joypad read location. This should fix the issue. Reopen if it's not. |
