Summary | 0002560: support full caches
Description | discussions on mailing list: From: Angus Manwaring A few of us are looking at the 3D space opera Epic on comp.sys.amiga.games Is there reason that you cannot tun the game with any caches? Would it be possible for an update that allowed the cache tooltype. The game is pretty good, but it could be a lot smoother especially when there's a lot of objects on the screen - even on an 060. From: Angus Manwaring Again this is not a big deal as far as I am concerned as I'm not passionate about this game, but just for information purposes, can anybody confirm if the game (WHDLoad installed) actually gives you the codes to the next mission after you have completed the current mission. I've completed several mission, been promoted, got medals etc, but have not seen any codes displayed. I appreciate that there is a problem with the slave where you need to complete 2 missions at one point but I'm not referring to that. Thanks for any confirmations. :) P.S. I think I'm going to have to re-read the Amiga Power review. :) >From: Sebastian Rosa From: Angus Manwaring >> Again this is not a big deal as far as I am concerned as I'm not >> passionate about this game, but just for information purposes, can anybody >> confirm if the game (WHDLoad installed) actually gives you the codes to >> the next mission after you have completed the current mission. >AFAIR it doesn't give you code. >From what I can tell, if you fail a mission, lose all your subsequent lives continuing to fail the mission, and you watch the following cut scenes and text closely, you will be given the code. Most games would just give you the code for a level when you successfully reach it, but I think this issue is just down to poor game design. Probably like the mission text which isn't on screen long enough for me to read it all. :)

CACHE Tooltype works. The game crashes when you leave "Name & Callsign" empty ! (On Amiga 600 Furia V2 & Amiga Cd32 ProModule) If you Type someting in "Name & Callsign" the game works with the CACHE function |
