I finally got around to try the updated slave, and is still doesn't work, but this time I am getting a different error. The slave loads, and immediately crashed to desktop before getting to the main menu, with this error :

 did the previous slave worked?

what about trying with NOCACHE ?

 I didn't get a chance to try the previous slave before you updated it about the tipoff.
I just tried with NOCACHE and I get the same error.
