Summary06787: Crash to black screen after indeterminate length of time
DescriptionLeft running for long enough, Frontier will eventually crash. No guru, no errors, video signal is gone, no sound, and computer is unresponsive. OSSC connected to RGB shows "NO SYNC" as if cable has been disconnected. A500+ with 2MB chip, Pistorm.
Steps To ReproduceLoad game. Wait for a while. Game crashes. I've observed it in game and on the intro sequence.
Additional InformationI've seen it crash in 2 minutes, sometimes several hours can go by without issue. I've set nocache, noautovec, novbrmove, nommu, pal - and nowritecache because without this when it crashes, it loses any saves made in the session. Videocore monitor isn't installed. Switching to the HDMI display on the pistorm shows the Emu68 logo still.

Machine is otherwise stable and runs all day without issue. Hard disk image was created with Emu68 imager. Running game from a floppy image might be stable (Fairlight crack v1.05), I haven't managed to reproduce the crash, yet. But I shall leave it running and see if it happens.

Okay so after that note I turn my back and it immediately crashes using the floppy version. So with that evidence I'm not sure how to leave this report. I shall leave it up to the assignee to decide.

This sounds like an issue with PiStorm rather than anything WHDLoad-specific. Unfortunately modern Amiga upgrades have muddied the field a lot when it comes to game stability.
