Summary0006832: Kings Quest 5 NTSC Sound Issues + german crack - Saves provided
DescriptionHi J (T_T)

There are horrible sound issues when playing in NTSC, no matter if the OG or remastered. They seem to be triggered by the "dinnng" noise.
(you know, when you solve a riddle)

As it seems a bit random, i provided a savegame where it happends 100%.
(german version)

I also provided a Savegame for the German version right before
the Protection check.

Maybe you can crack it ;)
Steps To ReproduceFor the sound issue (it will happend 100% with this methode)

1)Start Kings Quest 5 in NTSC and load the KQ5-LP4 savefile.
Give the Shop-owner the Pupped/doll; you should hear a "DINGGG".
Now just wait; you dont need to press anything, just wait for about 30 seconds.
The sound will go all to s.... like GGrrxxxkksssss ssxXXXXXxxxjhfjhdsf ... something like that ;)

2) for the Crack .. well, just load the KQ5-LP1-Crack. Go into the right tent and the Protection screen appears ...

Good luck ! :)

Additional InformationSorry for using the "Kings Quest Enhanced" section, but there was no Kings Quest 5
on Mantis. Please forgive me ;)

update: its no the "dinnng" noise :) that confuses the player;
its really random BUT will 100% trigger in the Toyshop.
(just wait there for a while)

This will only happend if you run the game in NTSC which is recommended, otherwise the music is playing too slow. (and the screen-displaysize is bigger)

Its not caused by the Slave but really by the usage of any WHDLoad version that i tried; tried also generic slaves; same issue.

KQ5 works flawless without WHDLoad,(using MCP to promote to NTSC)
i just wanted to report the issue.

PS: This issue happends in the German version NOT in the English.
Maybe in other language versions also? idk. anyway; Torti > out ;)
