This install applies to "Music Disk" © 1988 Thrust.
Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad and DIC to be in the path.
These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.9MB for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD
- all OS stuff (CIA interrupt) recoded
- Decruncher (ByteKiller) relocated to fast memory and error check added
- DMA wait in replayer fixed
- Timing fixed
- DMA settings fixed
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
I remembered this old classic yesterday and decided to create a patch
for it. The code, despite its age, is quite OK, I only had to fix some
minor timing problems (CPU dependent delays etc.) and replace the
CIA interrupt code which used system functions with a hardware banging
($78.w) version. Why a level 6 interrupt replayer was used is beyond
me anyway since no other interrupts are used at all (i.e. vertical
blank could've been used) and CIA timing wasn't implemented in
the trackers back then anyway.
The data is packed with ByteKiller, I have relocated the decruncher
and added an error check, if decrunching fails WHDLoad will quit
with an appropriate error message.

Enjoy this old classic and remember the good old "ST-00" sounds. :)
Have a nice summer everyone!
